WELCOME to Gary's website.

Here I have some information on my fascination with
Asia and beetles, primarily the tiger beetles
(Cicindelids). Since 1980 I've enjoyed working and
collecting in or visiting Cambodia, China, India,
Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal,
Thailand and Vietnam. Some photos of specimens in
my own collection are shown here, along with papers
I've produced, including contributions to the knowledge
of the Cicindelidae of Asia .

Yunnan province in China's southwest, representing only 4% of China's land
mass, has one of the most biodiverse fuana on earth, including the cicindelids.
Over 80 species of tiger beetles are detailed in this book printed on
high-quality paper. Each species is represented on a separate page which
includes a  photo  and written description, a biodiversity rating, locations
where the species is found in Yunnan and special notes about it.

 Here's a sample page!

A very few copies, as well as other fine books on entomology, are available
from the international book seller:

The book's co-author
Wu XiaoQiang at the Southwest Forestry University in
Kunming, Yunnan, China, also has a few copies.
